The Temple City Schools Foundation operates summer school enrichment classes at Longden Elementary and Temple City High School during June and July. Profits are re-invested into programs that enhance the quality of education in TCUSD.
Grades K-8, including Band and Orchestra
In 2013, K-6 Enrichment classes will be held at Longden School from June 24-July 18, Monday through Thursday (there are no sessions on Fridays, but Quality Care is available through the District). Please note that Thursday, July 4, 2012 is a holiday, and there will be no classes that day. Sessions run from 7:50 am to 9:40 am and 9:55 am to 11:45 am. Grades 7-8 Enrichment classes and all Band and Orchestra classes are held during those same dates and times and at Longden Elementary School. High School Summer School
In 2013, the High School Summer School will be offered between June 24th and August 1st, Monday through Thursday (there are no sessions on Fridays). Please note that Thursday, July 4, 2013 is a holiday. Sessions run from 7:45 am to 10:30am and 11 am to 1pm, with lunch in between sessions from 10:30 am-11 am. This session of summer school is for students seeking acceleration. Please note that due to financial constraints, the Temple City Unified School District (TCUSD) will not offer remediation summer school classes in 2012. Special education classes will continue to be offered as specified in a student’s IEP. TCSF offers only enrichment classes. Should high school students wish to re-take a class for a higher grade, students will have the option to enroll in TCSF’s summer school classes, DDSLC Adult School, or another local high school. The cancellation of TCUSD’s offerings does not affect the Temple City Schools Foundation’s summer program, and we will continue to offer our enrichment classes.
